I want paulandre.com to be easy to use for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What’s in place
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users
- Pages built with proper headings, landmarks and lists, and the page language declared
- Visible focus outlines so you can see where you are when using a keyboard
- Descriptive alternative text on every image
- Labeled buttons for the menu, the testimonial carousel and the pricing calculator
- Reduced animation for visitors who turn on “reduce motion” in their device settings
- Layouts that adapt to small screens and to browser zoom
- A descriptive title on the embedded map
- Plain-text Markdown versions of each page, linked from the page code, for tools that read text directly
Known limitations
Two features come from other companies and aren’t fully under my control: the Calendly booking window and the embedded Google Map. If either gives you trouble, you can book a call or get directions by emailing or calling me instead.
